ABOUT

Round One is an event where teams of students from Georgia Tech present developed business ideas to investors. Teams must apply through an application that asks about their team dynamic and their startup concept.

8 teams will be selected to move on to the Mentorship Phase on March 31st.

During the Mentorship Phase, each team will have 30 minutes to pitch their business and work with entrepreneurs from the Atlanta Tech Village and the Atlanta Technology Development Center.

The mentors will then select 4 finalists to move on to the Investment Phase on April 5th. Each team will have 10 minutes to pitch their business and answer questions from the investors.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR ROUND ONE?

WHO ARE THE INVESTORS?

A team is eligible to apply for Round One as long as it has one member that is a student (undergraduate or graduate) or alumnus/alumna of Georgia Tech.

WE HAVE AN IDEA FOR A PRODUCT BUT WE HAVEN'T SERIOUSLY STARTED WORKING ON IT. SHOULD WE APPLY?

You are more than welcome to apply. However, Round One is geared towards teams that have a tangible product that is ready to go to market or already in the market. The investors will ask in-depth questions about your business plan and financials if you are selected as a finalist.
